Tann Family in Ohio

The branches of the Tann family extend to Ohio. The family migrated from Noth Carolina and Virginia and settled in Ohio. The Tann family also lived in Ontario Canada, were some of their children were born and married in Canada.

Cordy Tann

Cordy Tann, born about 1813, the son of Patsey Tann. (See Drury Tann)

The Tann family lived in Canada East and Ohio during the mid-1800s. Their descendants migrated to Nebraska, Indiana and other states.

Josiah Tann

Josiah Tann was born in 1838 in Canada East. He married Anna and lived in Washtenaw, Ypsilanti, Michigan. Josiah and Anna had one son but it is not known what happened to Anna or their son.

On May 16, 1900, Josiah married Georgianna Wells in Williamsville, Michigan. Georgiana was born in Canada and was the daughter of John Moore and Mary P. Jones. Georgianna's marriage to Josiah may have been her second marriage.

Isaiah Tann

Isaiah Tann was born on June 7, 1844, in East Canada. Isaiah Tann married Mary Ann Scott in Kent, Ontario Canada. Mary Ann's parents were Alvin and Elizabeth Scott. They lived in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan with their children were George Tann, born December 1880, Anna Tann, born December 1886, John H. Tann born December 1887, and Rosa A. Tann born August 1893, and Ida Tann.

Isiah Tann died on January 21, 1921, in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan.

Alexander Tann

Alexander Tann was born in Canada East. He married Telitha Piece, in Tilbury, Kent Ontario.

Goldie Tann

Goldie Tann, born in 1904, Ohio, daughter of Cordy and Minnie Granaway. On June 12, 1944, in Franklin County, Ohio, Goldie Tann married Soloman Hayes.

On May 26, 1923 in Franklin County, Ohio, Cordy Tann died of Chronic Bronchitis Pneumonia. Cordy Tann was employed as a Boiler Repairer. Cordy was born on April 30, 1860, in Canada, and his father was Cordy Tann. His wife, Minnie Tann.
