Bennett Tann

Bennett Tann, born in 1798, possibly in Pennsylvania.

In 1850, the Tann family lived in Lycoming County, Pennslyvania.  Bennett Tann, 50 years old a farmer with a personal value of $200., his wife Dinah Tann, and their children, George Tann, Morris Tann, Martha Tann, Elizabeth Tann, and Washington Tann.

Dr. George Tann

George A. Tann, born November 5, 1825 , in Pennsylvania. His parents, Bennett and Dinah  Tann. He married Catherine Thompson, and they had one son, William Gilbert Tann born 1859 in Pennsylvania. 

Dr. George Tann was an Herbalist for the Osage Native Americans in Kansas. 

In 1860, George A. Tann, lived in Danville, Pennsylvania with his wife, Catherine, and son, William G. Tann.  Also, living in the with the Tann family was Ellen Thompson, possibly Catherine's mother.

Elizabeth Tann

Elizabeth Tann, born April 5, 1850, in Ohio. She was the second wife of Geoge Tann.

George and Elizabeth's children:

Estella Tann, born in 1879 in Independence, Kansas.

Naomi Tann, born September 1, 1886, in Independence, Kansas. On September 5, 1901, Naomi married Alvin McCullough, born in 1874  in Tennessee. They had one child, Gentry McCullough born in 1905 in Independence, Kansas. Naomi died on December 14, 1961 in Kansas. 

Dr. George Tann

On March 31, 1909, in Independence, Kansas, Dr. George Tann, died and he is buried at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas. 

CATHERINE (THOMPSON) TANN. died on January 25, 1895, in Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania.  She is buried at Lincoln Cemetery in Harrisburg, Pennslyvania.

William Gilbert Tann

William Gilbert Tann, born 1859 in, Pennsylvania, son of George and Catherine (Thompson) Tann.  He married Mary A. Long, daughter of John Long on October 23, 1890, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. 

On March 18, 1918, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, William Tann married  Martha Charlotte Briscoe, daughter of  John and Marie (Bowie) Briscoe. William was a widower when he married Martha (Mattie). 

Martha Briscoe was married to William H. Bond and they had one child, Henry Clay Bond. In 1919, Henry married Cleone Vanetta Skeaton, of Columbus, Ohio. She was the daughter of Van Skeaton and Armelia Johnson. Then, on November 9, 1920, Henry C. Bond married Fannie M. Carter in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. His third marriage to  Cora Harvey Walker, in Dauphin County, Pennslyvania. 

William Gilbert Tann died in 1924. He is buried at Lincon Cemetery in Pennsylvania.
